Kirsti Gordon of Accuray’s eagerly awaited CybeKnife which provides very precise radiation therapy treatment to cancer patients at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre. It is not expected to be operational till September 2010.Much calibrating, programming and setting up and testing of all operating systems have to be completed.

Now I know what the CyberKnife is about. Actually I did not know anything about cancer treatment except what I have seen on this site. Well done Community Voice for bringing all this news to the public domain. Kirsti really knows her stuff, when are we going to see a video of 'The Knife'? Seen 'Edwin's' virtual tour, but nothing like the real thing.

Thank you Kirsti for a most informative description of the Accuray CyberKnife. What a wonderful invention and how fortunate we are to have this facility at Mt Vernon Hospital. The clear and concise explanation of this medical marvel was so easy to understand. Thanks also to Community Voice for bring this to our attention
