Hema Ganesh works at Mount Vernon Hospital as a physiological measurement technician 1. She has been working in this field for seven years. Electromyography, (EMG), is located opposite Bioengineering on the first floor of the main building at MVH. The clinic operates two days a week.
The EMG department at Mount Vernon Hospital gives a service to people who have muscle/nerve injuries. Access to this service is through the GP. At hospital the patient will be seen by an orthopaedic consultant, the consultant will send patients to the EMG clinic for a test. The test result is sent back to the orthopaedic consultant for consideration.
