The new Chemotherapy Suite at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre is nearly completed. At a cost of about£1.5 million It is hoped to see the first patients in March 2010. Most of the funding was by donation and grants, see Professor Gordon Rustin's video on this site. About 1500 patients a year from Hillingdon and the surrounding boroughs will benefit from this 'state of the art facility' More donation are still required as it will cost in the region of £300,000 a year to operate.
